BASE Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026. BASE is operated by Prosper House. Contact support@baseforteams.com about privacy, your account, or this policy.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password in hashed form, and the age range you select during signup. We process your team memberships and roles, invitations, profile information, and an optional profile photo. Player profiles can include a jersey number and position.

We store information you or other team members add to BASE, including team posts, comments, reactions, poll responses, messages, schedules, availability, documents, photos, and other uploaded files. Team schedules may include venue addresses. Member reports include the reported member, reason, and optional details.

Operating the service also involves session cookies, saved preferences, server request information such as IP addresses, and, when enabled, device registration information and push-notification tokens. BASE does not request your device’s precise GPS location to show team schedules.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, connect members to invited teams, show schedules and team content, deliver enabled notifications, enforce permissions, investigate reports, provide support, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for BASE advertising.

Who can see information

Your name, role, and optional profile photo are visible to members of teams you join. Posts and comments are visible within the team. Messages are available according to the channel or conversation’s participants and role restrictions. Uploaded documents use their selected visibility. Players and parents cannot view other members’ email addresses in the roster. Staff email visibility is also restricted by role.

Member reports are available to eligible team coaches, excluding the person reported. For concerns involving a coach, contact BASE support. Team staff are independent users and may handle team information outside BASE; ask your organization about its own practices.

Public team pages

Team owners can publish an optional public page with the team name, sport, organization, logo, selected roster display names, roles, jersey numbers and positions, and selected schedule events. Event locations appear only if the owner enables them. These pages are visible without an account and can appear in search engines. Private messages, email addresses, profile photos, attendance responses, event notes, and payment records are not included. Managed under-13 accounts are excluded from public rosters. Owners can unpublish a page; copies previously saved by visitors or search engines may remain outside BASE.

Service providers and external content

BASE uses Cloudflare for hosting, database and file storage, and Google Firebase for Android push messaging when configured. These providers process information needed to operate those services. Playing embedded YouTube videos, opening external links, or using external maps may send information to the relevant provider and is subject to its privacy practices. Venue searches can send the search text to a location-search service.

Children and parental approval

A child under 13 cannot create an account through ordinary signup. The child is directed to a parent or legal guardian before entering a name, email, password, or photo. The parent can request approval using their own account and a coach’s player invitation. This request does not create a child account.

Under-13 activation is currently unavailable while BASE connects a parental-consent verification service. A checkbox, email, or coach’s invitation alone is not verified parental consent. Child accounts require verified parental consent before creation. The parental controls are designed to start chat and sharing disabled and allow the verified guardian to manage those settings or suspend account access. Parents may contact support to review information, request deletion, or withdraw consent. We will update this policy and the parental notice when a verification provider is selected.

Retention, access, and deletion

We retain account and team information while needed to provide BASE and administer the team. Delete your account directly from your account menu or the deletion page after signing in. For access, correction, or deletion of child information you manage, email support@baseforteams.com from the account address. We may verify your identity or guardianship before responding. We may retain limited information when necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or resolving a dispute, and will explain applicable retention when responding to a request.

Removing someone from a team or deleting a post does not by itself delete their BASE account. Choose Delete account in your account menu or use the deletion page after signing in. You can optionally transfer your teams to eligible members, who become coaches. Players cannot inherit ownership. The confirmation identifies teams that will be permanently deleted.

Security and choices

BASE uses secure connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No service can guarantee absolute security. You can update your profile, manage notification preferences, and ask support to correct or delete account information. Do not upload sensitive documents unless they are necessary for your team and you understand who can access them.

Changes and contact

We will publish policy changes on this page and provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required. Questions can be sent to Prosper House at support@baseforteams.com.
